COMMUNITY LINKS

Interwoven encourages our members to connect with other community groups, charities and organisations in their daily lives.

 

We welcome young and old to our own Community Events, such as Christmas Wreath Making afternoons & Christingle services

 

We also have a dedicated Communities team that have led us in identifying local and national charities that we can support; For the current financial year we are supporting :

                                                                In October 2023 we started to support the Leyland CAP Center.  This is an initial commitment for eighteen months and involves practical as well as financial support.

CAP - Christians Against Poverty

We have made an effort to find out about these organisations & how we can assist them, practically by pledging some of our annual income to them, but also by praying for them, both the people that work for them and those that they seek to help.

Throughout the past year, as a community and as individuals, we have taken part in different activities, some of which are described below:

  • Assisting with fundraising stalls at local galas and Christmas markets, as well as running a fundraising Ladies Afternoon in aid of

  • Held a handmade crafts stall for 

  • Built a Blackpool Tower of coins, raising money for

  • Ran a Jigsaw stall at Lostock Hall Carnival, in aid of 

  • Had a Pancake Day Party in aid of 

  • Went 'Balsam Bashing' at 

  • Joined with over 300 others to support the PNE Big Sleep Out - in aid of

  • Held a cake stall in aid of 

  • Supported Preston Feast for Peace, organised by

  • Enjoyed an evening of International dancing and food, with ladies of all faiths, during 

  • Joined with 560 groups - over 260,000 people - to support the Big Quiz Night, in aid of
